Why Join OBOA?

OBOA has, since 1961, represented the code enforcement community’s interests at the Ohio Board of Building Standards, the State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Ohio General Assembly and served to promote Life Safety through building codes with improved responsiveness and consistency in enforcement.

A FAMILY OF CHAPTERS

International Code Council (ICC) chapters are designated as Regional, State, Local, Professional, Student, or Global depending on the geographical area they serve and the nature of their membership. OBOA is an ICC chapter and comprises ten component chapters. By joining your local chapter, you also become a member of OBOA and Region V, along with all associated benefits.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

OBOA provides the Construction and Building Industry with current Ohio and national opportunities in the Code Administration and Enforcement Sector. This includes Plan Examiners, Building Officials, Inspectors (All Trades), Permit Technicians, and other Building and Housing Department Personnel.
