The MVBOC has served the West Central Ohio area since 1957. We are a chapter member of the Ohio Building Officials Association and the International Code Council. Our membership is comprised of dedicated professionals who gather together to preserve and promote the public safety, health, and general welfare of the citizens of the Miami Valley who build and occupy our residential and commercial structures, by providing a forum to exchange ideas and education relative to building construction; to promote uniformity in building code enforcement; and to participate in the establishment of uniform building regulations. Our meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month. Meeting times and locations are displayed on the home page. Meeting minutes, our membership list and our by-laws are viewable only by our registered members. The Miami Valley Building Officials Council offers its members a forum to exchange ideas and provides educational opportunities for code enforcement agencies and the construction industry. Other member benefits range from free participation in our annual outing, field trips and tours, participation in the annual meeting which includes a free luncheon and free education credit hours and access to the ‘Members Only’ features of the MVBOC website.
