About the FBOA Meeting and Training:
Education - A2L Refrigerants for the 2024 I-Codes. - BBS 2026-347 - 2hrs
This course on A2L refrigerants will explain the drivers for the transition to A2Ls in the International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Building Code, International Fire Code, and International Residential Code. It will also include the timeline for phasedown of HFCs and the changes to relevant industry standards. In detail it covers the changes to 2024 IMC, 2024 IFGC, 2024 IBC, 2024 IFC and 2024 IRC. Additionally, it educates the participants on how to prepare for the transition to A2Ls as well as providing other available resources
Lunch is served at noon followed by the education. FBOA's 2026 Board will meet beforehand at 10:30am. 

About the Presenter:
Lisa Reiheld is a director, PMG technical resources for the International Code Council, where she serves as a subject matter expert to the plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, swimming pool and spa codes.  She represents ICC in federal and state coalitions, task forces, committees, and councils where expertise in I-Code subjects is required.   Reiheld has more than 20 years of experience in plumbing product certifications, design engineering and building codes. Prior to joining the Code Council, Reiheld was a Codes & Standards Manager for Viega LLC where she advised product design staff on code and standard requirements that impacted the development of new products, among other responsibilities. Reiheld also worked for the CSA Group as a Certification Engineer in the Plumbing Group providing education to code officials around the country on the process and meaning of certification marks

About the Venue:
Guy's Party Center
is located off of I-77 a few minutes south of downtown Akron on E. Waterloo Rd. This is an extended lunch and learn event. Doors open at 11:30am and class will begin after lunch. A full buffet lunch with dessert will be provided after elections scheduled for noon.
