2017 NEC and Ul 508A
This course will cover UL 508A, the UL standard for the construction of Industrial Control Panels. This document gives guidelines to panel builders on various issues including proper component selection, wiring methods and calculation of short circuit current ratings. If a customer follows UL 508A’s construction requirements and recommendations, they can apply to have their panel listed by UL. Upon successful inspection, the panel would bear the UL label.
The presenter is Joe Pavia from the Eaton Corp. and he will present Short Circuit Current Rating: NEC 2017 and UL 508A. It is a 4 hr session and the certs are for BO, MPE, BPE, EPE, MechPE, BI, MI.
